NEW SNOWFLAKE OBSIDIAN TUMBLECHIP

So excited to share this new collection with you all!

I started working with some Snowflake Obsidian Tumblechip yesterday and below are the results!

I have used matte opaque cream, matte grey-blue and matte rose Miyuki Delicas glass seed beads from Japan with gold effect pinch beads - and the really exciting bit - vintage glass nailhead beads.

The small grey ones are from the 1900s and the black and lilac are from the 1920s, all from the Czech Republic.

I also experimented with these aqua opal petal beads. I wasn't sure at first but this design has really grown on me and now I'm really in love with it. I also have some pink/red and gold/brown glass petal beads so I can create some new colour-ways.

I used Tiger Eye Heishi beads around the petal beads with Czech glass seed beads and vintage faceted black beads from the 1900s.

These will all be available in the shop tonight! What do you think of these new beauties?

New happenings and simple layerings

Once again, it's been very busy over here at S+A! After the beginnings of the web store were set up, I got on with creating our Facebook page. Its, like everything else, in it's very early stages. I wanted to share some new ideas with you all and give you an idea on what's happening next for S+A.

Above is the classic layering necklace '1297' in Mauve with black cube beads and Blue Goldstone, layered with the 'Samurai' spike necklace in bone.

Again, here's a classic '1297' in black czech glass beads, gold effect cube beads and Picture Jasper, layered with the 'Keiko' necklace in turquoise.

I love this combination. They just set each other off!
Here we have the 'Lorica' necklace in a citrus yellow czech glass bead with vintage rondelles and brass beads against another 'Keiko' necklace in matte sea-blue glass beads and vibrant yellow round beads.

Soon to come to S+A!
Silver, bronze and copper stacking and spinning rings.

Excited? We are.

What's been happening over at stone+armour...

It's been a busy few weeks over here since our last post. New things to come so it's very exciting. Here's some snapshots from our instagram page - why don't you follow us? @stoneandarmour

A new wooden jewellery display. I love this. It's really in keeping with the natural, found and handmade elements that we translate through our jewellery making. It can really help set off necklaces next to each other for easy-to-see layering ideas.

New S+A stickers! This is for our packaging, so all online and shop bought orders will have this little chap emblazoned across the packaging! What do you think? Would you like to see this screen printed on the bags below?

New boxes and bags too. All boxes will be stamped with the stone+armour triangle logo like the tags. Just need to do some tie dye-ing of bags! I feel like we are getting there?

I treated myself this July (like every July... shh) to a beautiful new pair of Swedish Hasbeens. I just love this company. The shoes are to ie for and are so very comfortable. I bought the lacy sandal in khaki (the white ones have been seen on SJP!) and they have not been off my feet...

After breaking the zip on my purse this past weekend, my boyfriend lovingly bought me this beauty! A bright orange (with navy spotted interior!) gigantic zip around Paul Smith purse. What a champ!

And finally, this is what I came home to yesterday. A handsome fellow in his new collar. Surrounded by the days destruction underfoot. Says it all really doesn't it?

Look out for new pieces coming this week on the blog and to our webstore.

Much love, S+A.

This Week

Date night.

Had a lovely meal at a local italian restaurant that has always been shouted about. Had an amazing salmon and asparagus pasta. Why does pasta never look a lot yet you can barely finish it?

New plant pot.
My new £1.50 plant pot from a local charity shop has finally found a home on my fire place. Fits perfectly in my living room and is exactly the right size for my blooming plant.

Calgel nails.
Had my nails redone today in a turquoise gel with a lustre. Turquoise is the best colour in the universe. Agree?

A present from the postman.

Some new goodies to play with this week and create some new designs. Everything is going really well done the jewellery front. New designs are being created, packaging redesigned and new display aids sourced. It's been a hectic pat few days but I really feel like we're getting somewhere! It's a busy week this week but hopefully be underway with lots of new and exciting things to show you all very soon.

Frank.

And to finish with this handsome chap. My 16-week-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier puppy Frank. He's a rascal as he just ripped up a brand new door mat. But who can resist this face?!

Photoshoot, Amy Spires

Luckily enough to have a good friend, Cordelia, who had her wares photographed by Amy Spires I jumped at the chance of sending some of my handmade necklaces along with her package. The end result were these beautifully natural, raw shots of STONE + ARMOUR that I just couldn't be happier with.

All photographs taken by Amy Spires. Only the necklaces featured are STONE + ARMOUR.

My online shop is finally here!

So my online shop is up and running! At the moment there is only one product available whilst I add a few more over the next few days.

Keep a look out for new designs too as I just got a great present from the post man! I'm really excited about where this can take me. Craft fairs are in the making with a good friend who runs Cordelia (visit her Facebook page @ facebook.com/CordeliaHandmadeAndVintage)

This summer is looking like a great one!

New makings

This second post has been a long time coming! After making some life changes I now have more time, energy and enthusiasm to dedicate to STONE + ARMOUR.

I have attached some recent pictures of my other on going projects and hope to have an online store set up very soon.

 Much love, - S+A.
